Pennsylvania elopement and adventure photographer

you would love working with me if…

You’re up for a little adventure, and embrace new experiences. Sometimes those experiences include taking portraits in unexpected locations.

You’re into moody black and whites, and classic candids that show love and joy and connection.

You’re excited to share your day with the people you love most (and, for some of you, with the dogs you love most.) You believe that a family can be whatever you make it.

You want a relaxed wedding day, where you get to have fun and enjoy the company of your friends, and a wedding photographer who helps make it happen.

You value spontaneous, honest, imperfect moments more than fashion magazine style.

You want your wedding to be about who the two of you are and what you value personally.

You want your photos to not just reflect how you looked, but how your day felt. To tell the whole story.

Small, intimate, elopement, microwedding. Call it what you like. Whether your ceremony will be just the two of you, or up to thirty or so of your nearest and dearest, this is the page you’re looking for.

Getting to know you

I’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade, and can help with putting together a photo timeline, helping you find the perfect vendor for your flower crown or ceremony music, figuring out park permits, or introducing you to a wonderful planner. Even a ceremony for just the two of you involves some planning to create a memorable, beautiful wedding, and I’ve got some great resources to share.
But to help you out with that, I need to get to know you! Before the wedding, we’ll hang out, either over a Skype call or some coffee. I’m not into doing the hard sell, so we’ll chat about you and your person, what you’re looking for in a photographer, I’ll show you some albums, and we’ll figure out if we’re a good fit for each other. By the time your wedding day is here, we won’t feel like strangers.

Location location location

A small wedding really opens up the possibilities for where you can have a heartfelt, intimate ceremony and a wild celebration with your favorite people.
I love the great outdoors (give me campgrounds and mountains), and I’m super at home figuring out oddball locations (I’ve photographed weddings in restaurants and renovated bank vaults). I can help you to find the best spot for the wedding that you want to have, whether that’s on a  mountains, in the forest, by a waterfall, on the coastline, or in a hip nontraditional venue.
However, you don’t have to be getting hitched in some epic location for me to be your wedding photographer. Anything can be an adventure, if you look at it in the right light.

Wedding photography style

I want you to look through your album and feel like you’re reliving all of it, to see portraits on your wall and smile. I believe that weddings are an opportunity to enjoy the company of family and friends, that you can opt out of the stress of perfect and embrace planning a day that reflects what you love and value.
I believe in the power of slowing down. In spontaneous, imperfect moments over slick editorial perfection. In having some damn fun.
I take a documentary approach to most of your day, giving you enough direction to help you look your absolute best, but still feel like yourselves. My editing is inspired by a timeless film look, and I love classic black and whites.

Going analog

I’m increasingly into analog things. All of my wedding collections do include digital files, because I understand how we live now. But each of them also includes some physical, tangible prints.
Reminders of the people you love should live on your walls, your desks, your bookcases, and not just somewhere in a folder on a hard drive. Your family will value those pieces long after we’ve all forgotten what DVDs were for.

Have camera, will travel

I don’t have a set “fee” for travel, and instead simply charge what it actually costs me. There’s no travel cost for locations within about a 90 minute drive of Brownsville, PA. Of course, it costs more to travel to some places than others, and I’m happy to get you a quote.
While I do always book my own accommodations, I’m not a fancy lady, and tend to find Motel 6es or inexpensive VRBO rentals nearby. I’m not staying at the Ritz on your dime.
I’m happy to travel outside of the United States as well, and keep my passport current. But due to very strict laws, I’m unable to work in Canada. Canada has absolutely no chill about this matter.

Who are you?

I’ve been a professional wedding photographer since 2007. I know it seems like literally everyone is a photographer these days, and it feels impossible to find someone that you can trust to capture memories that you can’t recreate.
I’m a registered, insured, tax paying business with the state of Pennsylvania. I have backup gear for my backup gear, and I take the work that I do incredibly seriously.
You can read some testimonials from happy clients who recommend me below, or read more about me.

Wedding FAQ

Are you available?
You can see my calendar for available dates.

What kind of wedding coverage do you offer?
I photograph weddings of all sorts, and offer portrait sessions for engagements and anniversaries. I have special pricing for off-season weddings (below), intimate weddings, and adventure weddings. I travel basically everywhere except Canada, because they have SUPER strict laws and won’t let me shoot there (not like, me specifically, just non-Canadians in general.)

Do you offer discounts for off-season or midweek weddings?
I do! Off-season for me is between December and March.

What does a la carte mean?
If you’re being extremely literal, it means “by the card.” But for your purposes, it means that you can build your very own collection, that only includes exactly what you want it to. No minimum investment, or surprise separate charges. A la carte pricing for every session that I offer is available in its corresponding e-zine, which you can find on my pricing page. If there’s something specific you’re looking for, I can find vendors for nearly anything. I’m always glad to work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want.

Can I get your full pricing information?
Of course you can! It’s all in there on my pricing page.

What if I’m having a weird wedding?
Good! I embrace weird, and if you’re going for the coveted “strangest photography request” slot, you’ve got a pretty high bar to aim for.

What qualifies as an “intimate wedding”?
If you’re having around 75 people or less at your wedding, I would call it an intimate wedding. Typically, photographing these kind of events is a different experience than huge ballroom receptions or full Catholic masses, which is why they have their own separate e-zine, and different pricing. Intimate weddings are sometimes referred to as elopements these days, even if it’s not an elopement in the strictest sense of the word. If you’re looking for an intimate wedding photographer, it’s sort of my jam.

What’s an adventure wedding?
It’s really just what it sounds like. If you love the outdoors, and love adventure, there are tons of ways to incorporate that into your wedding. Some folks want to get married on a mountaintop, in a riverbed, or deep in the woods, and I’m happy to be right there with them to document everything. If you want an adventure wedding photographer, I’m super comfortable hiking off into the wilderness with you.

What if I’m totally not photogenic?
Take a look through my blog. Now consider that nine out of ten of those people told me that they aren’t photogenic, are nervous in front of a camera, and take terrible photos. None of these folks are models, they’re just regular people getting married. It’s my job to make you look great, and it’s my job to make you feel comfortable while we’re shooting, and you look fabulous.

Do you travel?
I love traveling, and I’m happy to shoot your wedding, wherever it may be. Pricing can vary, and I’m happy to get you a quote on that. If you’re in my usual coverage area (which is anywhere between Pittsburgh and Morgantown, or the eastern side of Ohio) you won’t have to worry about it.

Do you do LGBT weddings?
I sure do. My goal is to make everyone I work with feel comfortable and respected.

What’s your approach to photographing a wedding?
I want your wedding to be great. I think that you should get married however you want to, and I want you to have the best day possible. If you’re relaxed and having an amazing time, it shows in your photos, and half of my work is done. I won’t be pulling you away to pose for things, and I won’t be telling you how to cut your cake (I’ll help, if you need it, but I try to stay out of your way for most of the day.) When it comes time to do portraits, I’ll give you plenty of direction (and not, “uh… stand over there and look cute.”) But for the rest of the day, I just want to capture all the little moments that make your day yours.

Where do we start?
The first contact that I have with people is usually through email (info@mooreclick.com), although you’re welcome to call or text (724.880.0519). If you’d like to get the booking process started, just fill out the contact form and I’ll get you all the information that you need. Then if you think we’re a good fit, we can meet up to talk about what you want out of your photographer, and go over your plans for the day. I genuinely love hearing about people’s wedding plans, so yes, I totally do want to hear about your idea for a pie bar. We can do this in person, or via phone/email/Skype. If you’d like to see if your date is available, you can see my calendar. If I’m not available for your date, and you’d like a recommendation for another photographer, feel free to email me at info@mooreclick.com. I have a lot of really talented friends.

When will I get to see my photos?
Your photos will be processed four to six weeks after the wedding. I upload the finished images to a digital gallery so that you can view them right away, and you can also download your files through them. Select photos are also added to the blog and the Facebook page. If you’re on Facebook, feel free to tag yourselves and your friends. If you’re more of an instagram person, I add a few photos to my instagram feed as well. If you’ve ordered an album, you’ll have proofs two to three weeks after your photos are finished. You can make changes to the album if you’d like (swapping/adding/deleting photos), and choose an album cover. The album is usually in your hands two or three weeks after the order is made.

What’s a digital gallery?
I upload all of the finished images, and you’ll receive an email when your photos are available. You’ll be able to view and download all of your photos online, and can send the link to friends and family to view as well, and you are also able to order prints and other products through that service.

Can I print photos from the digital files?
If you book any collection, or add “digital negatives” to your a la carte pricing, then Yes. Yes, you can.

I’d still like more information.
Have you checked out the wedding e-zines on the pricing page? There’s tons of great info in there, but if that still doesn’t answer your question, feel free to get in touch.

I’m sold, let’s do this.
To get the booking process started, you can shoot me an emai, call or text 724.880.0519, or schedule a consultation right here.

It's so rad that our wedding photographer also
shot like, Black Flag.

Her photography style is exactly what I was looking for. Candid, natural, yet beautiful and classic. An absolute delight to work with! I can't recommend her enough.

Laid back Pittsburgh wedding, with a Memphis touch.
